The
children from Ladakh could go to school in the
city Leh, if their parents could pay for that......
In Leh there is a school with seven
teachers which offers well education. Besides
there is always a nurse present, so the medical
care is also guaranteed. The children daily get
there a warm, nutritive meal.
Parents from Ladakh want nothing
rather then send their children to that school.
Then the future of their children and their old
day would both be secured. For this reason the
school has however many too few students and has
to close soon. Reason? The poor inhabitants of
Ladakh cannot pay the school-fees and the
additional costs.
Adoption
During
their holiday in India the initiators of
B.Connected have adopted the school in Leh. They
hope with the others in the Netherlands costs of
the teachers, a cook, a nurse and an aid will be
able to finance. For an amount of € 400, - a
month, the school can continue to exist and
offer education, medical care and a daily meal
to the children of Ladakh.
